TikTok, the Popular Video-Sharing Platform, has Introduced a new Mode that allows its Subscribers to create text-only Posts.
With this move, TikTok joins the Ranks of Tech Companies competing with Twitter to offer Text-Based Content Options.
In their Announcement on Monday, TikTok stated, “Today we’re thrilled to Announce the expansion of text posts on TikTok, a new format for Creating text-based Content that Broadens options for Creators to Share their Ideas and express their Creativity.” This Innovative feature enables Users to add colored Backgrounds and Stickers to their text Posts, with a Word limit of 1,000. It’s Worth noting that Variety compared this feature to Instagram, where Posts can be Commented on without necessarily Initiating a Conversation.
According to TikTok, its Mission is to Empower Creators and the Community with Innovative tools that Encourage Self-Expression.
The addition of text Posts aims to Provide a dedicated space for Written Creativity, building on the Expressive Comments, Captions, and Videos already Prevalent on the Platform.
Until now, Creators on TikTok had various Content Creation options, such as LIVE videos, photos, Duets, and Stitch.
