The Rivers State Judicial Commission of Inquiry has summoned allies of Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, to appear before it. The summons is related to post-election violence and attacks on local government secretariats.
Those summoned include:
- Dr. Samuel Nwanosike, former Ikwerre Local Government Chairman
- Obarilomate Ollor, former Eleme Local Government Chairman
- Hope Ikiriko, former Ahoada East Local Government Chairman
- Hon. Aforji Igwe, Eleme Constituency Representative in the State House of Assembly
The commission, led by Hon. Justice I.R. Minakiri, has scheduled appearances for October 30 to November 11.
