The commissioner’s assurance came on the heels of the commencement of the annual 16-day activity against GBV, themed “No Excuse: Unite to End Violence Against Women.” Adeleye noted that the state’s sensitization campaigns have sparked meaningful conversations and changed attitudes across communities, leading to remarkable achievements in addressing GBV.
Adeleye urged stakeholders and individuals to join forces with the state government in building a safe society, breaking the silence, supporting survivors, and challenging harmful beliefs and practices that perpetuate violence.
