Determined to bring home the dividends of democracyto his people,Hon(Engr). Sesoo Ikpagher Gboko, Member representing Vande-lkya/Konshisha Federal Constituency of Benue State at the National Assembly, disclosed his poise to evolve legal frameworks to deliver good governance to his constituents.
In a media chat in Abuja, Hon (Engr). Sesoo Gboko reiterated his resolve to use his mandate to do good for a greater number of people.
“I look forward to drawing government’s attention to the provision of the basic amenities that are necessary for modern living and development of the human capital of my constituency which is almost ninety (90%)percent rural.
The Engineer-turned Legislator further revealed the progress he has already made with extracting commitment from a number of agencies of government to intervene in the areas of Primary Health Care, Rural Water Supply, Education, and Electrification of his constituency.
Whilst speaking with our reporter, he reevealed his achievement and excitement at the prospect of having solar powered motorized bore holes in some communities with acute water shortages in the coming weeks, and the inclusion of two electrification projects for two communities in the 2024 Budget in Vandelkya/Kanshisha Federal Constituency.
However, the parliamentarian decried how the five court cases instituted against his election constituted such a distraction to him, though he was thankful to God for the free and square victory at the polls and courts with all the five cases.

Speaking on the fuel subsidy removal and its management, Hon. Sesoo Ikpagher Gboko stated that the Tinubu Presidency had hit the ground running with the fuel subsidy removal, a decision the parliamentarian said: ‘’It was was ripe and long overdue for implementation, save for the lack of timely implementation of well thought out measures to cushion the impact of the removal on the citizenry’’.
He stressed that it may be too early in the day to judge how well or other -wise the Tinubu administration is doing. He called for patience from Nigerians, reassuring and insisting that Nigeria would be out of the woods with the ‘Renewed Hope Mandate ‘
“As a people, we have somehow come to a consensus that there was the need to remove subsidy. With immediate past administration of Buhari making no budgetary provision for subsidy payments for the second half of 2023, i.e. from first of July to December 31st, it was the only logical thing to do ‘’.
Whilst applauding the provision of palliatives by the Federal Government to cushion the effects of the subsidy removal on the populace, Hon. Ikpagher stressed that the government must think in terms of measures with more long term impact on the people, like boosting their earnings and spending capacity, improved factors of production, improved access to education and health cares.”
Interestingly, the Hon. Member appreciating Vandelkya/Kanshisha Federal Constituency at the Green Chamber of the 10th National Assembly, urged the state governors to be more diligent and committed in the management of the palliative intervention and ensure that the items and monies provided by the Federal Government get to those who actually and desperately need them.
To this end, the alumnus of W.M. Bristow Gboko, Hon. (Engr) Sesoo Ikpagher Gboko , Member representing Vandelkya/Konshisha said, he would want to be remembered as the representative who gave his all for his people.
Earlier on, he stated how he wants to especially make contributions to human capital development of his constituency that will long outlive his stay at the National Assembly.
