Former President Muhammadu Buhari Announces New Appointments for NTA Executive Directors
Garba Shehu, the Spokesperson of former President Muhammadu Buhari, made an Official announcement on Monday regarding new Appointments made by the former Leader.
The Statement, sent to Journalists just before 11 a.m., coincided with the Inauguration of President Bola Tinubu.
Although the announcements were made on Monday Morning, Mr. Shehu clarified that President Buhari had made the Appointments on Friday.
The Appointments were made to fill the positions of Executive Directors at the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA).
According to Mr. Shehu, the six Individuals Appointed as Executive Directors had their names submitted to President Buhari, and after careful consideration, he Confirmed their Appointments.
The Appointments come following the departure of the previous holders of the Positions, whose Tenure ended on March 31st.
The newly appointed Executive Directors for the NTA are as follows:
- Ije Osagie from Edo State will serve as the Executive Director of Engineering.
- Betsy Iheabunike from Anambra State will assume the role of Executive Director of Marketing.
- Lawal Umar Lalu from Katsina State has been appointed as the Executive Director of Programmes.
- Ayo Adewuyi from Osun State will serve as the Executive Director of News.
- Adamu Sambo from Adamawa State will take up the position of Executive Director of Special Duties.
- Nansel Nimyel from Plateau State has been appointed as the Executive Director of Administration and Training.
- Abdullahi Ismail Ahmed from Kaduna State will assume the role of Executive Director of Finance.
These appointments are for an Initial three-year term, which can be renewed for another three years.
The former president’s decision to appoint individuals to these crucial Positions is aimed at ensuring the smooth operation and continued growth of the Nigeria Television Authority.
The newly appointed Executive Directors are expected to bring their expertise and contribute to the advancement of the NTA’s mission of providing quality Television Programming and Services to the Nigerian Public.
