A Turkish company, Direkci Group, is set to revolutionize agriculture in Zamfara State by introducing advanced technologies such as mechanized farming, greenhouse technology, and poultry farming. This move aims to boost agriculture in the state through large-scale cultivation of cotton, sugarcane, and soybeans.

Governor Dauda Lawal’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Idris, disclosed that the Managing Director and CEO of Direkci Group, Nurullah Mehmet, led a delegation on an official visit to the governor. The visit highlighted the company’s plans to transform agriculture in Zamfara, creating significant benefits across various sectors..

  • Mechanized Farming:Direkci Group will introduce advanced farming techniques, increasing efficiency and productivity.
  • Greenhouse Technology: The company will establish modern greenhouses, enabling year-round cultivation and improving crop yields.
  • Poultry Farming:Direkci Group’s poultry initiatives will create employment opportunities and enhance local food availability.

Governor Lawal reiterated his administration’s commitment to achieving food security and creating employment opportunities. He emphasized the importance of securing the state to enable people to return to their farms and welcomed partnerships with investors like Direkci Group.
