Video: Many Feared Dead As Train Collides With BRT Bus In Lagos

Many passengers have been reported dead and many others injured as a train collided with a BRT bus with registration no 04A- 48LA on transit in Lagos.

The tragic incident reportedly occured today, March 9 at Adekunle Fajuyi road in Ikeja, Lagos.

The Director, Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Adebayo Taofiq, confirmed the accident in a statement.

“The accident recorded many casualties as the staff bus is fully loaded with govt staff going to the office this morning,” the statement added

The actual number of casualties have not been ascertained but eye witnesses say it is disastrous.

Residents around the area are trying their best to evacuate some passengers from the vehicles while they wait for the arrival of the Lagos Rescue team and other security personnel.
