The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole (SAN), recently praised Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State for instructing relevant State Agencies to open the Tanke Flyover from a certain date until the 23rd of October 2023, ensuring smooth Traffic flow along the University Road.

According to a statement released by the University’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Kunle Akogun, the Vice-Chancellor acknowledged that the Directive was in response to a letter of request earlier sent to the Governor by the University’s Management.

Prof. Egbewole became aware of the Governor’s directive through discussions with some senior State Government Officials.

He emphasized that the Directive would greatly aid the movement of Vehicles during the University’s upcoming Convocation Ceremonies scheduled for the 20th, 21st, and 23rd of October 2023.

Furthermore, the Vice-Chancellor expressed appreciation for the Governor’s commitment to repairing the deteriorated sections along the University road leading to the main Gate before the scheduled Convocation days.

He commended Governor AbdulRazaq for his prompt response to the Institution’s appeal, characterizing him as a responsive and attentive Leader.

Prof. Egbewole concluded by offering prayers for the continued guidance and Protection of the Governor by the Almighty.
