UBA Chairman Reaffirms Commitment to Africa’s Development and Unity
The Chairman of United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, Tony Elumelu, has restated the Bank’s unwavering dedication to spearheading discussions and Initiatives that will drive Africa’s Development, Growth, and unity.
Elumelu made this declaration during the fifth edition of the UBA Africa Conversations, emphasizing the pivotal role UBA plays in effecting Positive Change throughout the Continent and unlocking its Immense potential.
Under the theme of ‘Innovation on the Continent for Growth,’ Elumelu highlighted the relevance of this topic, given the challenges and opportunities Africa faces.
He expressed his belief that UBA Group is well-positioned to navigate these challenges and foster Prosperity for the Continent.
Oliver Alawuba, the Group Managing Director at UBA, expressed the Bank’s dedication to Empowering Africa to become the Continent of the Future.
Alawuba also took the opportunity to celebrate Africa’s rich cultural heritage, diverse Talent, and remarkable Potential.
Addressing the issue of Gender Equality, Abiola Bawuah, Executive Director and CEO of UBA Africa, acknowledged the Bank’s significant Progress in this regard.
Bawuah highlighted that UBA currently boasts more Female board members than any other Bank, a feat made possible by the Visionary leadership of Chairman Tony Elumelu.
Bawuah commended Elumelu for his Belief in the capabilities of Women to hold top positions and excel in Organizations.
