There has been a noticeable shift in sentiment on social media, transitioning from complete disgust to some level of tolerance and respect for the President’s actions during his first week in office.
LP Hon Elect Amobi Godwin Ogar from Abia State shared his thoughts on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.
“Today is a great day for me. I am filled with happiness as an elected member witnessing my President speak. I must admit, I never knew this man possessed such intelligence. I never knew he was so prepared to serve this Country. I witnessed his love, his character, his charisma, and his belief that Nigeria can become a better Nation. I am glad that our meeting today will bring us closer to a more stable Government. Even without further communication, we have agreed to align with the Government’s decisions. Party affiliation is not the focus at the moment; we are prioritizing nation-building and Unity.”
His statement ignited a flurry of mixed reactions on Twitter:
“This Hon Elect will soon defect.”
“It’s regrettable that we didn’t hear much about Asiwaju’s character and capacity. The pre-election mudslinging was excessive.”
“BRF (Fashola) attested to it. The only flaw Tinubu has is that his work ethic can exhaust you.”
“Tinubu should give his best now because we are still coming to claim our mandate, although I no longer hate him”.
