The Tinubu Presidential Forum (TPF) Diaspora has backed Godswill Akpabio to lead the Senate.

It said the Country’s challenges required the Senate to be led by an experienced lawmaker ‘And Akpabio, former minority leader, is the best to pilot its affairs to achieve result …’

Members said Akpabio has demonstrated exceptional qualities, vision, and experience crucial in leading the Senate.

Coordinator of the group Quadri Olatunji, in a statement on Wednesday, said the group supports Akpabio after evaluating candidates vying to lead the 10th Senate.

The statement reads: “Different criteria were adopted, and the most qualified was Akpabio, who has executive and legislative experience and can relate better with President-elect, Bola Tinubu, to formulate laws and approve funds for programmes, as well as policies to turn around the Country.”

Leadership of National Assembly is crucial to strengthening the Country’s unity and the person must be a bridge builder. We thus appeal to Nigerians to consider the former Governor’s track-record and ability to manage human resources. The best person to perform this role is Godswill Akpabio. This is one of the leadership qualities that have continued to stand him out over the years.

“As Nigerians in the diaspora, it is our duty to support and promote leaders like Akpabio who have a strong vision for a better Nigeria. We implore everyone to join us in this movement and advocate for Akpabio to be elected as Senate President.
