At the 2023 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs), the Nigerian Artist Rema secured the Award for Best Afrobeats.

His International success soared in 2023, particularly with his Collaboration on the global hit “Calm Down” alongside Selena Gomez, which achieved Chart-topping status in numerous Countries.

Among tough Competition from other Top-notch stars, including Davido and Burna Boy, Rema’s exceptional Talent and work in the Afrobeats Genre earned him recognition.

Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj were the standout Winners of the evening, each clinching three awards at the Prestigious event.

The 2023 MTV EMAs ceremony, Initially planned to take place in Paris, was canceled due to precautions taken by the Organizers amid escalating tensions between Israel and Palestine.

The decision was made to ensure the safety of all Attendees and Participants who would have been traveling from various parts of the World for the event.
