
President Bola Tinubu, during a meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Abuja, emphasized Nigeria’s need for Transformation, especially in Green Energy and Environmental Development.
He welcomed the Chancellor and expressed gratitude for the recent Supreme Court Judgment affirming his Election, which he stated had put an end to unnecessary Political distractions.
Tinubu underscored the Importance of fostering Partnerships with Germany, highlighting Nigeria’s significant Economic potential and abundant Resources.
He acknowledged the need for progress in Environmental protection and energy modernization and expressed the Country’s determination to advance in these areas.
In response, Chancellor Scholz reaffirmed Germany’s commitment to Democracy and the Rule Of Law, emphasizing the importance of Cooperation for a better future.
He expressed interest in Collaborating on Economic opportunities, including Gas and Oil, as well as exploring new avenues for Sustainable energy, such as Hydrogen.
During the two-day visit, the German delegation engaged in Discussions with Government Officials and Representatives from Nigeria’s Private Sector.
Additionally, there were discussions about the potential for Germany to Import Natural Gas from Nigeria, strengthening Economic ties between the two Countries.
