President Bola Tinubu has formally requested the Nigerian Senate to confirm seven ministerial nominees, according to a letter addressed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio and read at the start of Thursday’s plenary session.
The Ministerial Nominees Are:
- Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction: Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda
- Minister of Labour and Employment: Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi
- Minister of State, Foreign Affairs: Bianca Odinaka Odumegwu-Ojukwu
- Minister of Industry, Trade and Development: Dr. Jumoke Oduwole
- Minister of Livestock Development: Idi Muktar Maiha
- Minister of State, Housing: Yusuf Abdullahi Ata
- Minister of State, Education: Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad
President Tinubu urged the Senate to expedite the consideration of his request. In response, Akpabio referred the presidential request to the Committee of the Whole for prompt consideration.
