President Bola Tinubu has Nominated Dr. Jamila Ibrahim to serve as the Minister of Youth, pending Confirmation by the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Additionally, Mr. Ayodele Olawande has been Nominated to Serve as the Minister of State for Youth, pending Confirmation by the Senate.
Dr. Jamila Ibrahim, aged 37, is a Medical Doctor and previously Served as the President of the Progressive Young Women Forum.
She also held the position of Senior Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor on Sustainable Development Goals.
Mr. Ayodele Olawande is a Community Development expert and a Youth Leader within the Governing All Progressives’ Congress.
He most recently Worked in the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Innovation from 2019 to 2023.
These Nominations follow President Tinubu’s earlier Redeployment of Abubakar Momoh, originally Nominated as Youth Minister, to the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs.
These Appointees are expected to bring Dynamism, Innovation, and Productivity to their roles in line with the Aspirations of Nigerian youth.
