Labour Party (LP) Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, underlined the Imperative of Dismantling the prevailing structure of Criminal enterprises established by Politicians, stressing that genuine change in Nigeria would remain elusive without this crucial step.

During a condolence Visit to the late Constitutional Lawyer and Pioneer Secretary General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Prof. Ben Nwabueze’s residence in Ajao Estate, Lagos, Obi underlined the need for Accountability and transparency in Governance.

Obi Criticized the allocation of N160 million worth of Vehicles to each Federal Lawmaker at a time when Citizens were grappling with hardship, labeling such actions as Insensitive.

He advocated for a return to the Parliamentary system of Government, which would ensure more Direct accountability from elected Representatives.

Reflecting on his Interactions with the late Nwabueze, Obi commended the Deceased’s unwavering commitment to advocating for Constitutional Amendments and genuine progress in the Country.

He lauded Nwabueze’s Consistent stance on the need for Fundamental changes within the Nigerian Political landscape.

In a similar vein, Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State paid homage to Nwabueze, highlighting the late legal luminary’s Invaluable contributions to Constitutionalism, Justice, and equity in Nigeria.

He praised Nwabueze’s significant role in guiding the Nation through critical moments and expressed Condolences on behalf of the Anambra State Government and its People.

Additionally, the Lawmaker Representing Anambra North Senatorial District, Dr. Tony Nwoye, eulogized Nwabueze as a Legal Icon whose profound scholarly works had left an indelible mark within and beyond Nigeria.

Nwoye extolled Nwabueze’s Influential Leadership and unwavering commitment to Anti-corruption efforts, emphasizing the Irreplaceable void left by the Legal Luminary’s Passing.
