The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in Akwa Ibom State Umo Eno has taken the lead in the results announced from the March 18 governorhip election.
Eno cleared 21 of the 22 LGAs announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The Young Progressives Party won in Ikono Local Government Area.
As a result, the PDP has won 21 out of the 31 local government areas in the state.
Eno won by a landslide victory in his local government area – Nsit Ubium.
