Adebo Ogundoyin of the Peoples Democratic Party, the incumbent speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, has been re-elected.
At the state house of assembly, Ogundoyin represents the Ibarapa East state constituency.
He received 10,039 votes, defeating the candidate for the All Progressives Congress, APC, who received 7,111 votes, as well as other contenders.
With his re-election, Ogundoyin will be serving in the state assembly for the third time.
