Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR and His Excellency Kashim Shettima, GCON on their Inauguration as the 6th Democratically Elected President and Vice President respectively, of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Senator Domingo Obende expressed optimism that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his very competent Vice President Kashim Shettima would preside over a peaceful and prosperous Country, considering their enviable track record of hard work, devotion and dedication to Nation building.
“I am Confident of the capacity of this duly elected competent team of President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima. As proactives and progressives, you can see they already hit the ground running with four immediate appointments and four key agendas for the next 6 months. This means in 180 days, Nigerians should expect that the youth under the age 40 will be ably represented in at least three cabinet positions and six cabinet member positions for people under the age 50. At least 20% of political appointments to Ministeries, Agencies and Departments will be allotted to people under 40 years of age. This type of inclusion will set the pace to build and strengthen Leadership Capacites in the Youth which are actually the future of this Democracy we are trying to sustain.”
“The President has pronounced that Fuel subsidy will be phased out within six months and those funds will be dedicated and targeted towards Infrastructure, Agriculture and Social Welfare Programmes.” He added.
He further explained, that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has also mentioned the full implementation of the Petroleum Industry Act and other Oil and Gas Policies that will attract Investors and Investment within the next six months.

Responding to other remarks about the Inaugural address titled “The Nigerian Ideal” he said, it spoke the minds and prayers of millions of Nigerians, it was concise and charts a proper course and a guiding principle with which this Administration will abide by as top priority. It has included Women, Children, Nation and Personal Security, the Economy and inclusions for all Nigerians regardless of their differences.
