Nigeria’s Vice President, Yemi Osibanjo has presented a Legacy Document of NEC in the last eight years at the Valedictory National Economic Council Meeting.

Osibanjo made this known while sharing photos of the event via his Twitter handle.

He wrote: “I had the pleasure of presenting a Legacy Document of NEC in the last eight years at the Valedictory National Economic Council Meeting.”

“The Legacy Document is a report of the activities of the National Economic Council from 2015 to 2023. It is of course a summary of all the activities including the major contributions of the National Economic Council from 2015 to 2023.”

The Vice President thanked the Governors and other members of the National Economic Council for their commitment and patriotism. With dedication, the Council has been a stabilizing voice and has had to advise the Federal Government on many matters concerning the economy of the Country, he added.

He also commended Nigerians for ensuring that in all decisions, the unity of the Country has played the most important role. “Thank you for working with us in the past 8 years & I pray that all of you will be rewarded by God Almighty for your contributions to your states & nation”.

“I pray for those continuing; the Governors continuing and those coming in, that you will experience the best years yet of our Nation and that our Nation under you, and your States under you, will prosper and the decisions you make will be celebrated for years to come.”
