Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, the Chief of Army Staff, has issued a stern warning to criminal elements, urging them to leave the country. He emphasized that the Nigerian Army, under his leadership, will take decisive action against these elements.
During his maiden operational visit to the 1 Division Nigerian Army in Kaduna on Wednesday, Oluyede addressed the troops, stating that adversaries should prepare to face a more formidable and serious Nigerian Army.
As of December 10, Oluyede signed his command philosophy, focusing on leadership, sound administration, and professionalism. He prioritized soldiers’ welfare, ensuring they receive the best possible support in terms of accommodation, kitting, and training.

Oluyede urged soldiers on the front lines to remain resilient, assuring them that the Army will employ new strategies to improve operations. He also inaugurated the remodeled Stallion Officers’ Mess and two blocks of family accommodation at the Kotoko Barracks.
In a separate event, Oluyede addressed students of Junior Course 98 at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College in Jaji, Kaduna State. He encouraged them to be enterprising, diligent, and resourceful, emphasizing the importance of these attributes in building successful careers and personal lives.
The college’s objective is to develop professional knowledge and understanding among selected officers, preparing them for staff and command appointments. Over the past 23 weeks, the officers have learned vital concepts, including counterterrorism, counter-insurgency operations, and peace support operations.
Oluyede congratulated the students on completing their course, highlighting the significance of their leadership, dedication, and ability to inspire and guide their teams.
