Nse Ikpe-Etim, a veteran Actress, caused a Stir with her response after not Winning the Best Actress in a Drama Movie or TV Series Award, despite her Nomination for her remarkable performance in the Netflix Original series, Shanty Town.

The category included Nominations for her Shanty Town co-star, Ini Edo, as well as Enado Odigie (Flawsome), Immaculata Oko-Kasum (Ile Owo), Ini Dima-Okojie (Flawsome), Queen Nwokoye (Strained), Scarlet Gomez (Wura), and Nimo Loveline (The Planters Plantation).

Although Bimbo Ademoye was a strong contender for her Role in Anikulapo, it was Osas Ighodaro who emerged as the Winner for her performance in Man of God, another Netflix project.

Shortly after Osas delivered her acceptance speech, Ikpe-Etim Tweeted a Single laughing emoji, which Ignited a significant Online reaction.

During her acceptance speech, Osas expressed her excitement and gratitude for feeling Included in the Industry again.

She said, “This means a lot because there have been many instances where I felt overlooked. Thank you to AMVCA and Bolanle Austin-Peters for believing in me.”

In addition to Ikpe-Etim’s loss, her Shanty Town co-star, Chidi Mokeme, also missed out on the Best Actor in a Drama award, which was Won by Tobi Bakre for his Role in Brotherhood.
