Nigerian Military Warns Against Politicians’ Plot To Instigate Violence with Fake Military Uniforms During Off-Cycle Governorship Elections

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has Issued a stern Warning against desperate Politicians planning to orchestrate Violence during the upcoming Off-cycle Governorship Elections in Kogi, Imo, and Bayelsa states. Major General Edward Buba, the Director of Defence Media Operations, revealed Intelligence reports suggesting that Individuals might attempt to use fake Military uniforms to cause chaos.

He emphasized that there would be Severe consequences for such actions and affirmed the Military’s commitment to ensuring a Secure environment for peaceful Voting.

The warning was Issued during a Bi-weekly briefing on various Military Operations to counter Threats across the Country.

The Military aims to prevent any attempts to Tarnish its image during the Elections.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has already distributed Electoral materials in preparation for the Polls.

The Defence Headquarters has deployed a significant Military presence to ensure the safety of Voters and prevent disruptions orchestrated by Individuals in fake Military attire.
