The Nigeria Football Federation has announced a 32-man squad for the second phase of training ahead of the highly anticipated two-legged CHAN qualifying fixture against Ghana in December.
The invited players include:
- Kayode Bankole (Remo Stars goalkeeper)
- Suur Kumaga (Lobi Stars)
- Ossu Martin
- Bernard Ovoke (experienced winger)
- Aniekeme Okon
- Ubong Friday (Rivers United)
- Dominion Ohaka (Water FC and U-23)
- Abiam Nelson, Aminu Adams, and Sudais Alibaba (Kano Pillars trio)
Under the guidance of coaches Fidelis Ikechukwu and Daniel Amokachi, the team began camp last Wednesday and temporarily dispersed to represent their clubs in Nigeria Premier Football League matches over the weekend.

Interim Super Eagles coach and Technical Director Augustine Eguavoen expressed his impression with the players’ performance during the two-day exercise:
“Very impressive… only two training sessions, but you can see that technically they are very good,” Eguavoen said. “We still have a lot of work to do because they are coming from different clubs. We have to try to see how we can blend them into one unit.”
Nigeria will face Ghana in the first leg between December 20-22, 2024, and host the second leg a week later. The winner will qualify for the 2025 CHAN, co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
