Ahead of the fifth Nigeria Cricket Federation Women’s T20i invitational tournament, past winners Nigeria and Rwanda are in high spirits over the inclusion of Tanzania, who are now the highest ranked team in the tournament, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
The organising committee of the tournament earlier this week unveiled the East African country to participate in the four-nation event scheduled to hold from Friday February 23 (today) to March 3 at the Tafawa Balewa Cricket Oval in Lagos.

Ranked 19th in the world, the Tanzania women’s team would be making their first appearance at the event that has shared its winnings so far between Nigeria and Rwanda. Nigeria won the first and fourth editions of the tourney, with Rwanda winning the second and third.
While their rivalry might be up for a new challenge, both countries are eyeing the possibility of testing their prowess ahead of the African Games.
