The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has issued a warning to voters that they will not be allowed to use mobile phones or any photographic devices to take pictures of their ballots inside the voting cubicle. Barrister Festus Okoye, the National Commissioner and Chairman of INEC Voter Education and Publicity Committee, made this announcement during a news program on Channels Television. He emphasized that anyone caught violating this rule will be prosecuted and may face imprisonment. According to him, officials from the ICPC, EFCC, and security agencies will be present to ensure that the law is not broken. He added that no one would be allowed to bring their phones into the voting cubicle, and doing so is strictly prohibited.
