After battling with low self esteem and inability to woo women, a United States man identified Moses Gibson has undergone leg surgery to increase his height.
Gibson who hails from Minneapolis, Minnesota in the United States added five inches to his height.
According to a report by daily on Wednesday, Gibson disclosed that he has been insecure about his height since he was 15 years old, after witnessing other boys his age go through growth spurts that he did not.
In his desperation, he took medications and even at a point contacted a ‘spiritual healer’ online who deceived him that he would be able to to be able to help him in a desperate attempt grow taller.
After other attempts failed, Gibson decided to opt for surgery.
His words: “I’ve struggled with my height. Even when I was in high school, I was always unhappy with my height.
“When I was like 15, I realised most of my peers were taller than me. It started getting to me gradually.”
I became aware of a procedure that could increase my height and began working extra hours to save up enough money for the surgery during college.
Gibson worked as software engineer during the day and as an Uber driver at night for three years, before undergoing surgery to add three inches to his height in 2016, but seven years later has had a second round and is using a height lengthening device.
Gibson’s tibia and fibula bones were broken by Doctors who inserted magnetic, limb-lengthening nails into them.
Following the procedure, he is now mandated to use a height-lengthening device three times per day, pulling the cut bones apart one millimeter at a time.
