A 36-year-old man is due to appear in court charged with the murder of schoolboy Daniel Anjorin following a dawn sword attack on a suburban east London street.
Dual Spanish-Brazilian national Marcus Aurelio Arduini Monzo, of Newham, will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, having also been charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of grievous bodily harm, aggravated burglary and possession of a bladed article.
Daniel, 14, was killed as he walked to school on Tuesday when a sword-wielding man launched a stabbing rampage in Hainault.

Tributes to the 14-year-old have been pouring in, with his family describing him as “a wonderful child” who was well-loved and hard-working. “No family should have to go through what we are experiencing today,” they told Sky News, adding that Daniel’s death has left “a gaping wound” in the family.
Friends as well as teachers at his school, Bancroft’s School in Woodford Green, have praised the teenager as “an amazing young man” and a “true scholar”.
