The Lagos State Government has assumed Responsibility for the Medical Care of 13-year-old Adebola Akin-Bright, who Reportedly had his Small Intestine go missing during Treatment at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State confirmed this during his visit to Akin-Bright and his Mother, Mrs. Deborah Abiodun, at LASUTH’s Pediatric Ward.
Mrs. Abiodun had sought help through Social Media with a “Save Our Souls” (SoS) appeal to the Governor, urging an Investigation into the Mysterious disappearance of her Son’s Intestine during his Treatment.
LASUTH’s Management swiftly responded, Stating that no Organ or Structure had been Deliberately removed from Akin-Bright’s body during the Corrective Surgery performed on him.
The young Patient had previously undergone Surgery at a private Hospital in Lagos and had been receiving treatment at LASUTH for over a Month.
The Governor, after listening to both the Mother and the attending Doctor, emphasized the need to prioritize Saving the Boy’s life.
In response, Akin-Bright’s mother expressed her Gratitude to Governor Sanwo-Olu for visiting and assuming Responsibility for the Medical Care of her promising young son.
