The Lagos State Government has initiated a large-scale demolition operation, targeting illegal structures along the Blue Line/BRT corridor on the Lagos-Badagry expressway.
The operation is part of the ongoing efforts to clear and secure the vital transportation corridor.
The operation is being conducted under the leadership of Assistant Commissioner of Police Bayo Suleiman, head of a special squad dedicated to the clean-up initiative.
Kukuruku gathered that the clean-up operation is extending its reach and progressing toward Alaba Rago and its surroundings.
Jubril Gawat, Senior Special Adviser to Governor Sanwo-Olu on New Media, emphasized the commitment of the State Government to this extensive clean-up effort.
He said the government has undertaken various public sensitization and awareness campaigns, including radio jingles and stakeholder engagements, to prepare the public for this development.
He added that the demolition operation will enhance safety and pave the way for smoother transportation along the Blue Line/BRT corridor and the Lagos-Badagry expressway.
