Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in Soba Local Government Area of Kaduna State have declared their support for Governor Uba Sani and President Bola Tinubu to continue in office beyond 2027.

Led by the Commissioner for Public Works and Infrastructure, Ibrahim Hamza, after their meeting on Tuesday, the stakeholders cited the development brought to the area since the start of the administration as the reason for their endorsement.

We are very proud of what the Governor is doing. We have been included in his administration, and we are glad that all the support we gave to the APC in Soba to ensure his victory has paid off,” Hamza said.

He thanked the Governor for appointing him and others from Soba Local Government, and for supporting the area in various ways.

The Commissioner highlighted some of the administration’s achievements in Soba, including the construction of roads, skill acquisition centres, water schemes, and improvements in security.

In the last 23 months, Soba has been one of the most benefited local governments in the state, especially in terms of rural infrastructural development,” he noted.

Among the notable projects mentioned was the road construction from Dingya to Turawa. Hamza also pointed to a skill acquisition centre aimed at empowering youths, women, and men.

Additionally, he referenced the Soba water scheme, which will serve 1,500 households.

In the next three months, by the end of the second quarter, about 1,500 households in Soba will benefit from pipe-borne water,” he said.

The stakeholders also commended the governor for his efforts in improving security in the area.

Just recently, the Chairman of Soba was in Zaria Command to thank them for their intervention. Security is one area that has seen significant improvements in Soba Council, and we thank the Governor for that,” Hamza added.

He further mentioned the ongoing construction of a general hospital in Maigana, which he said would be completed soon.

The stakeholders called on all APC members in Soba to unite in supporting the continuation of Sani’s administration beyond 2027.

They believe his leadership has brought meaningful development to the area and expressed their desire for him to build on the progress made.

We want all of us to come together to endorse the continuity of Senator Uba Sani and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as stakeholders of the APC in Soba Local Government for 2027 and beyond,” Hamza concluded, stressing the need for continuity to further develop Soba.

The Executive Chairman of Soba Local Government Area, Mohammad Shehu, also expressed deep appreciation to the governor for the infrastructural projects in Soba.

Shehu made his remarks during the stakeholders’ endorsement event.

The Commissioner of Public Works has already mentioned almost all the good things that have come to Soba,” Shehu said, adding, “on behalf of the Soba Council, we wish to express our profound gratitude to Governor Uba Sani for the developmental infrastructure brought to Soba.”

He went on to highlight several initiatives, including the establishment of a skill acquisition centre, the upgrade of Maigana Hospital to a general hospital, and numerous road projects.

We have a skill acquisition centre in Soba, we have Maigana Hospital, which has been upgraded to a general hospital, and many road projects,” he said.

The Chairman also referenced the renovation of primary healthcare centres and monetary incentives through financial inclusion programmes for women.

We have renovated PHCs, and we also have monetary incentives through financial inclusion programmes that have benefitted women over the past 23 months,” he added.

Shehu praised Governor Sani for empowering the sons and daughters of Soba, citing his own appointment as Chief Press Secretary as an example.
