The spokesperson of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), human right activist and Finland Politician, Simon Ekpa has been reportedly arrested by the National Bureau of Investigation in Finland, (KRP).
Ekpa is the spokesperson of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a separatist movement agitating for Biafra in southeastern region of Nigeria, and also a self acclaimed disciple of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu
Kukuruku News gathered that Simon Ekpa, had called on millions of southeastern people to boycott forthcoming Nigerian general elections from February 25 to February 28.
Kukuruku News also gathered that the Federal Government of Nigeria urges Finland Government to stop Simon, from causing chaos in southeastern Nigeria.
Recall that early this month the Federal Government summoned the Finnish Ambassador to Nigeria, Leena Pylvanainen, over “hate speech and incitive comments” by Ekpa.
At the meeting with Pylvanainen, Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Geoffrey Onyeama said Ekpa’s action was fast becoming a threat to the forthcoming election, and that the Federal Government would not take it lightly with him and the Finland government if nothing drastic is done.
Before his arrest on Thursday, Nigerians all over the world have signed a petition appealing to the Finland government, Nigerian Government and the European Union to arrest Ekpa, the brain behind the sit-at-home order in the South-East.
His repeated sit-at-home order has been marked by bloodshed and destruction of lives and properties in the region by its enforcers.
