The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha has been suspended by his wards party Exco

According to a letter obtained by Daily Trust and signed by Muazu Kabiri, a party official in Jimeta’s Gwadabawa Ward, the SGF did not make a meaningful contribution to the party during the elections.

Kabiri bemoaned the SGF’s loss of his polling unit in the presidential and governorship elections to the Peoples Democratic Party.

Mustapha is not the only prominent APC member who has lost his voting district. During the governorship and presidential elections, the ruling party’s National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, lost his own polling unit.

However, the Adamawa State chapter of the APC has spoken out against the action, claiming that the ward has no authority to suspend Mustapha.

The reason for the apparent power play in Adamawa is unclear.

Mustapha was not on President-elect Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s 422-man campaign team.

He was one of the names that came up frequently when there was speculation about Tinubu’s running mates.

In response to his absence from the campaign, Festus Keyamo, spokesman for the APC Presidential Council, stated that President Muhammadu Buhari specifically directed that he be left out of the Campaign Council in order to focus on the country’s governance.
