The deputy governor of Edo state, Philip Shaibu has lost his constituency, Etsako Constituency 11, to the All Progressive Congress APC in the just concluded state assembly election held in the state.
Recall that Shaibu who is of the People’s Democratic Party PDP also lost to APC in the Presidential and National assembly elections held in February.
Announcing results today, INEC declared APC candidate Gani Akokia, winner of the House of Assembly seat in the constituency, with a wide margin of over 4000 votes.
