Labour Party’s Alex Otti has been declared as the winner of Abia State Guber election with the eventual announcement of the contentious Obingwa LG election.
Prior to today’s development, INEC had postponed the collation over alleged inflation of the Obingwa LG result.
Before now the results from Abia gubernatorial election showed that the Labour Party candidate had won 17 Local Governments comfortably.
The returning officer, Professor Nnenna Oti announced the results as follows
Alex Otti garnered 175,467 votes while his closest rival from the PDP garnered 88,529
