The Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has approved the appointment of 168 new aides across various positions.

The appointments were announced Tuesday, and they include; Principal Special Assistants on Political Community Relations: 5 appointees, Principal Special Assistant on Pension Matters: one appointee, Senior Special Assistants on Political/Community Relations: 60 appointees, Senior Special Assistant on Labour Matters: 1 appointee, Special Assistants on Political/Community Relations: 38 appointees, and Personal Assistants (PA) on Political/Community Relations: 63 appointees.

The list of appointees are contained in a press release signed by the Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Mukhtar Gidado who states that: “the appointments are part of the Governor’s ongoing efforts to ensure greater inclusion, enhance service delivery, and foster a government that reflects the diverse interests and aspirations of the people of Bauchi State.”

He emphasised that the appointees, many of whom are former political officeholders from national, state, and local government levels, were selected based on their proven experience, leadership capabilities, and political backgrounds.

The newly appointed aides representing diverse groups from across 20 local government areas of the state are expected to support the governor’s vision of a responsive and effective government.

While congratulating the appointees, Governor Mohammed urged them to approach their new roles with dedication and a people-centred approach.

He stressed the importance of loyalty and service to the people of Bauchi, stating that the appointments were a call to contribute to the state’s growth and development.

“With these new appointments, we are confident that our administration will be better positioned to consolidate on its achievements and build a legacy of good governance, inclusivity and sustainable development,” the governor said.

The appointments take immediate effect, as the governor moves forward with his plans to solidify the administration’s legacy.
