The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) in Nigeria has extended the Deadline it Issued to Religious organizations to either Develop or Forfeit their Plots of land.
The Initial ultimatum had mandated the Owners of Undeveloped Plots to take action within three months.
However, in a recent announcement, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has decided to exempt Religious groups from this Directive.
The decision to extend the Ultimatum for Religious Organizations was based on their Reliance on voluntary donations for Operational sustainability.
Minister Wike communicated this extension during a Meeting with the Board of the National Mosque, with Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, the Chairman of the board, leading the delegation.
The purpose of the Board’s visit was to seek clarification regarding the status of the Plots, especially those affected during the Construction of the Outer Southern Expressway.
