The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has Refuted claims of Invading the home of Nigerian Singer John Njeng-Ngeng, popularly known as Skales, and engaging in alleged Misconduct during the Incident.
Skales took to Twitter on Tuesday to accuse EFCC Officials of Invading his residence with guns and hammers, alleging that they damaged his back door while he was in bed with his 6-month-old daughter.
He also claimed that his Music Producer was assaulted during the Alleged Invasion.
In response to these allegations, EFCC Spokesperson Dele Oyewale stated that the EFCC does not Conduct Invasions or Raids in the manner described by Skales. Oyewale emphasized that there are established Procedures for Identifying regular EFCC Operatives.
He suggested that this may involve Impersonators falsely claiming to be EFCC Officials and called on Skales to provide Evidence to Substantiate his Claims.
However, Skales maintained his position, asserting that the EFCC Officials confiscated his phone and Issued Threats.
He also mentioned that his neighbors had recorded the Incident, potentially providing Evidence.
Skales further alleged that the EFCC claimed to have discovered Incriminating on the phones of two Individuals arrested at his home, one of whom was his Music Producer.
He accused an Individual named Femi, purportedly associated with the EFCC, of Threatening him in response to his Social Media posts.
The Singer’s reaction stemmed from what he perceived as Unprofessional conduct during the Alleged entry into his home by the EFCC Officials.
