Edo Queens Arrive in Morocco for 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League

Nigeria’s representatives, Edo Queens, have arrived safely in Casablanca, Morocco, for the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League, scheduled to take place from November 9 to 23.

Edo Queens’ Objective:
Become the first Nigerian club to win the trophy in the competition’s four editions.

Financial Incentive:
All eight participating teams will receive $150,000 (approximately N89 million) for participating, with increased prize money of $2,350,000 (a 52% increase from last year).

Breakdown of Prize Money:

  • Winner: $600,000
  • Runner-up: $400,000
  • 3rd Place: $350,000
  • 4th Place: $300,000
  • 3rd in Group: $200,000 each
  • 4th in Group: $150,000 each

CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe aims to develop and grow women’s football in Africa by investing in youth academies and increasing prize money for CAF competitions.
