Delta SEZ Boss Lauds Oborevwori Industrialisation Policy.

The Managing Director and CEO, Delta Special Economic Zone, Mr Godwin Akpovie, has applauded Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his unwavering support and vision for industrializing Delta State as he marked the two years anniversary.

Speaking to South-South KUKURUKU on Tuesday in Asaba the Delta State capital, Akpovie noted that the governor has placed the state on the path of accelerated and sustainable economic growth and development in the last two years in office.

He said, “Deltans are happy with his leadership ingenuity, sterling accomplishments in all sectors including roads, education, health, hospitality and entertainment industry, agriculture and job creation since he mounted the saddle as the state governor.

As the Managing Director of Delta Special Economic Zone our commitment is to accelerate economic development in line with the MORE agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

There are success stories of the Zone especially in attracting investments and esse of doing business in the state.

So far, we have brought companies like Eastern Metals, Xenergi Limited, Chorus Energy, and others. With potential developers such as Okime Partners and Advisors, China Clean Energy Technology Company and many others indicating interest

We also partnered with the African Development Bank for the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones Programme, aimed at boosting agriculture and economic growth in the State with potentials to employ over 50,000 people.

Additionally, the Zone, in partnership with the Delta State Government and Xenergi Limited, is developing the KGG Gas Eco-Industrial Park in Kwale Free Trade Zone.

I want to commend the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, for his unwavering support and vision for industrializing the State and his passion for growth and development had been instrumental in the Zone’s success so far”

Akpovie noted that as the governor commemorate the two years anniversary, there are numerous landmark projects across the State which he underscored the Zone’s impressive growth trajectory, attributing it to Governor Oborevwori’s strategic governance, infrastructural investments and a thriving private sector.

He called on Deltans to continue to support the MORE Agenda with a view to take the State to greater heights.
