Chief Of Defence Staff Pledges To Safeguard Nigerian Democracy, Against Coup in Nigeria

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, assured that the Armed Forces of Nigeria would safeguard Democracy, ensuring that no Coup would occur in the Country, unlike neighboring Nations.

He emphasized the Military’s commitment to deploying Technology to tackle Crude Oil Theft in the Niger Delta.

Additionally, he guaranteed adequate Security during the Off-season Governorship Elections in Bayelsa, Kogi, and Imo States.

During his visit to the Nigerian Army Headquarters 6 Division in Port Harcourt, Musa emphasized the Armed Forces’ dedication to protecting the Nation’s Democracy.

He commended the Support provided by President Tinubu and assured the Public of the Military’s commitment to maintaining Peace and Security in the Country.

He also stated that the President had approved Funds for acquiring additional equipment to enhance the Armed Forces’ Operations against Criminal activities and Oil Theft.

He further said the need for Credible, free, and fair Polls and cautioned against any attempts to disrupt the Electoral process.
