Following a busy 2024, Burna Boy is gearing up to close the year with a bang by releasing a new single that will soundtrack the Detty December festivities. In a recent update on his X account, Burna Boy announced that his new single will be released on Wednesday, December 18, 2024.
Background and Collaborations
The Grammy winner had earlier teased the single with a post on his Twitter page, which was followed by a similar post from his long-term collaborator Telz. Telz produced several songs on Burna Boy’s Grammy-winning album “Twice As Tall.”

The single will be Burna Boy’s second release of 2024 and a follow-up to his Grammy-nominated single “Higher.” The music video for “Higher” saw him take an emotional trip back to his hometown of Port Harcourt.
Record-Breaking Year
The single wraps up what has been a record-setting year for Burna Boy. Earlier in the year, he became the first African artist to perform at the Grammys’ main ceremony, where he shared the stage with rapper 21 Savage and R&B icon Brandy. Among other historic feats, he achieved the highest-grossing concert by an African artist in the United States and Canada.
Upcoming Album
“Bundle” is expected to be one of the songs off Burna Boy’s upcoming eighth album, rumored to be titled “No Sign of Weakness,” set for release in 2025.
