In a Surprising turn of Events at the 2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards held at Atlanta’s Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center on October 3, 2023, and revealed only on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.

Nigerian Megastar Burna Boy faced Disappointment as he lost out on all seven of his Award Nominations.

The highly anticipated Event had Burna Boy competing for prestigious awards, including “Hip Hop Artist of the Year,” “Lyricist of the Year,” and “Best Live Performer of the Year.”

However, he faced Formidable competition and was bested in all these Categories, with Kendrick Lamar emerging as the Victor.

The night proved challenging for Burna Boy, with further losses in crucial Categories such as “Hustler of the Year,” where he was Outperformed by 50 Cent, and “Best Collaboration of the Year” for ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World,’ which was claimed by Lil Durk and J. Cole’s ‘All My Life.’

Burna Boy’s other Nominations encompassed Best Hip Hop Video for ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World’ and Song of the Year, both of which were also secured by other exceptionally Talented Artists.

The outcomes have sparked a Wave of Disappointment and Disbelief among some Nigerians, who question the Fairness of the results and express their Conviction that Burna Boy, given his remarkable Contributions to the Music Industry, should have secured at least one Win.
