Grammy-winning Nigerian Artist Burna Boy has Canceled his highly Anticipated live Concert in Johannesburg, South Africa, Citing Incompetence on the part of the Show’s Promoters.
The Concert was Originally scheduled for September 23 at the FNB Stadium.
Burna Boy’s Management expressed regret in a Statement and mentioned that the Promoters failed to fulfill their Contractual, production, financial, and technical obligations, leading to the Cancellation.
Production Vendors had not been paid, and it became clear that the agreed Production standard for the Venue size could not be met.
The Statement also assured Fans that all Ticket purchases would be fully refunded.
However, there have been Allegations of Fraud surrounding the Cancellation, although no confirmation has been provided at this time.
Reports Indicate that Ticket Sales for the Concert were significantly lower than expected, with only 1,500 tickets sold for a Stadium with a capacity of 90,000. This poor sales Performance has been linked to the Ticket Price, which was R765 (approximately 32,000 naira).
