In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Sir Tersoo Kula, Governor Alia clarified that no Ransom or Monetary Exchanges were Involved in securing the Commissioner’s safe Release.

According to the Governor, Commissioner Matthew Abo has been Reunited with his family in Sankera, Ukum Local Government Area, where he was Abducted.

His release was Attributed to the relentless efforts of Security Operatives acting on the Governor’s Directives.

Governor Alia commended the Security Personnel for their Commitment and emphasized his Intolerance for Criminals within the State.

He Warned that Criminal activities would not be tolerated and urged Security Operatives to be resolute in ensuring the Safe Release of other Captives, Including the former Chairman of Ukum LGA, Mr. Washima Erukaa, and his Cousin, who were Kidnapped while Negotiating for Mr. Erukaa’s release.
