The Anambra State Government has approved N54.9 billion for investment in critical infrastructure, including roads, streetlights, and education. This decision was made at the 36th State Executive Council meeting, chaired by Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
Approved Projects:
- Trans-Nkisi Boulevard 1 Road: N2.1 billion was approved for the construction of this road in GRA Onitsha, awarded to Paul-B Nigeria Limited.
- Awka Metropolis Streetlight Project: Fresh tenders have been invited for this project.
- Smart Schools: Contracts were awarded for the development of 22 smart schools across the 21 local government areas, valued at N13.5 billion.

- Road Construction: Several road projects were approved, including the Nanka-Aguluzigbo-Umuona road, Mbaukwu-Awgbu-Amaetiti-Okpaeze road, and Azigbo-Awka Etiti-Amichi-Onuselogu road.
- Rehabilitation of Awkuzu-Igbariam-Anaku Link Road: Awarded to Retro Construction Company Ltd. at N6.2 billion.
These projects are part of Governor Soludo’s ongoing infrastructure revolution, aimed at increasing connectivity between communities and strengthening the state’s foundation as a livable and prosperous mega-city.
