The Peoples Democratic Party has officially submitted the names of Ezenwafor Jude as its governorship candidate and Okeke Chukwudi as his running mate for the upcoming Anambra State gubernatorial election scheduled for November 8, 2025.

This was confirmed in a letter dated Wednesday, May 7, 2025, and addressed to the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, which was stamped as received on May 12, 2025, by the Office of the INEC Chairman.

The PDP, in the letter signed by the Acting National Chairman, Ambassador Umar Damagum, and the National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, notified INEC of the outcome of its primary election monitored by the commission.

We write to inform the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that Ezenwafor Jude C. is the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP’s) Gubernatorial Candidate for the November 08, 2025 Anambra State Gubernatorial Election, having emerged winner of the Party’s Gubernatorial Primary in Anambra State monitored by the Commission,” the statement read.

The party also introduced the deputy governorship nominee:

Please be also informed that Hon. Okeke Francis Chukwudi is Ezenwafor Jude’s Running Mate.”

To comply with electoral guidelines, the PDP said it had submitted the required documentation.

We hereby forward the Credentials/Particulars: Forms EC-9, EC-9B and EC-13B, of both the candidate and running mate.”

The party urged the commission to acknowledge receipt and affirmed its commitment to due process.

Your cooperation in this regard will be highly appreciated,” it stated, adding, “Kindly acknowledge receipt of this letter and accept the assurances of our highest esteem and regards.”
