The governments of Abia and Akwa Ibom states have agreed to collaborate on road infrastructure development, aiming to improve connectivity between the neighboring states.
During a condolence visit to Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno, Abia State Governor Alex Otti expressed his condolences on the passing of the Akwa Ibom First Lady, Patience Eno. Otti encouraged Eno to continue his people-oriented projects and pledged Abia’s support.
Otti stated, “We will work together to fix roads linking our states for the socioeconomic benefit of our citizens.”
Eno appreciated Otti’s gesture and assured his commitment to collaborative efforts on road projects, including expediting federal government intervention on the Ikot Ekpene-Aba road and remedying defective portions of the Ini-Arochukwu road.

Eno emphasized, “Aba is a vital regional commercial center. We’ll work together to ensure smooth passage to and from Aba, benefiting our people.”
The partnership aims to enhance economic viability and accessibility between the two states.
