President Bola Tinubu urged Legal Practitioners across the Country to recommit themselves to providing Services that contribute to National Development.
Speaking at the Inauguration of the 2023 Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in Abuja, Tinubu emphasized the Importance of a change in Mindset and unwavering Dedication to the advancement of the Nation.
He hailed the chosen Theme of the Conference, describing it as Remarkably Pertinent to Nigeria’s current Circumstances.
Tinubu stated, “We need to get things right.
We Possess abundant Blessings, yet we face Challenges. Shift your perspectives.
Complaining about the past is not the Solution. We must look ahead, and be resolute.
With our Creative Minds and determination, we must Build and take responsibility for Nigeria, our Homeland.”
Furthermore, Tinubu affirmed his Administration’s Commitment to effective collaboration with the Private Sector, recognized as a Catalyst for Economic Progress and Prosperity.
He emphasized that this Cooperation would result in the tangible delivery of Democratic dividends to Nigerian Citizens.
Expressing gratitude to the NBA for the Privilege of Inaugurating the Conference, Tinubu expressed Confidence in the Caliber of Individuals he Appointed as Ministers, foreseeing an Improved Nigeria shortly.
He urged his Ministers to adopt a transformed attitude and approach to Governance.
Similarly, Tony Elumelu, Chairman of United Bank of Nigeria (UBA) Plc, conveyed his message at the NBA’s Annual General Conference in Abuja.
He emphasized the Importance of Unified efforts for Nation-building, guided by principles of unity, inclusivity, and progress.
Elumelu underscored that Constructing a cohesive Society from diverse Individuals and Cultures is essential for progress, necessitating Investments in youth, Women, the Power Sector, Security, and Social Infrastructure.
Elumelu affirmed, “Nation-building is a comprehensive process of creating a Unified, harmonious Society from diverse Individuals, Cultures, and Ideologies.
It involves establishing a shared Identity, purpose, and Vision that transcends individual Interests.”
He called for Collaborative unity to transform Nigeria, asserting that the Responsibility does not Solely rest with the Government but also requires Involvement from the Private Sector, philanthropies, Civil Society, and all Citizens.
