Nigerian singer Simisola Kosoko, professionally known as Simi, has shared the story of how her now-husband, Adekunle Gold, won her over during the early Stages of their Careers.
During a recent Interview with The Beat 99.9 FM in Lagos, she recounted how they eventually Met at one of her Concerts and how she was drawn to Adekunle Gold’s kindness.
The ‘Duduke’ Singer disclosed that they Dated for five years before finally tying the Knot in 2019.
She explained that Adekunle Gold had heard her Album when she was already quite well-known in the Gospel Community.
Simi admitted that she had initially missed his Facebook messages, but she Couldn’t recall how they reconnected.
At her Bogobiri show, Adekunle Gold surprised her by showing up.
She described him as being slim at the time, wearing white BYC and jeans.
Simi’s reaction was one of pleasant Surprise, and they Struck up a conversation.
As she got to know him better, Simi recognized Adekunle Gold’s persistence in pursuing their Friendship.
She found him to be a genuinely nice person and, with time, they became close Friends.
Later that year, he asked her to be his girlfriend.
Simi admitted that although she projected a Confident persona, she didn’t have much at the time.
However, she found Adekunle Gold’s kindness appealing and decided that having a nice guy in her life wouldn’t be a bad idea.
